OverGrowth. 2009. Installation at Cactus Bra SPACE, San Antonio, TX. Sheet plastic, hand-recycled paper panels (paper originally used in previous installations, ReCollection, H-O Table, Cabinet Influx), recycled wood and aluminum, grow lights, copper water system, and rye grass. Modeled after Le Corbusier’s Quartiers Modernes Fruges in Pessac, France, the recycled paper structures collapse and evolve as rye grass grows wild, destroying the physicality, and perhaps, the integrity of the modern house structures. |
